Mr. & Mrs Phillips

Today I had the pleasure of shooting Tom & Tammy's Wedding Day! It was breathtaking to say the least. It took place in Fenton, MI at Tammy's Aunt Roberta & Uncle Gary's lake house. The location was perfect, the sun was shining and their garden was in full bloom. I was so impressed with everything, they were so organized and on top of it all. Being right on the water was awesome and made for some beautiful photos. Tammy & Tom are from NH, and had their wedding in Michigan where Tammy's family is. What a blast this group was, I enjoyed many stories and laughs throughout the day. Congratulations Tom & Tammy, here's wishing you a long, happy and blessed life together.
Tammy's daughter Carter was in the wedding. She was by her mom's side every moment of her special day. From prepping with hair and make-up, to getting mom in her dress. She was such a big help to everyone. I loved the bond that I saw and was able to capture between the two of them. Such a joy to watch. This adorable girl was always smiling or laughing and had the cutest giggle. Thanks for being so fun Carter!
Prepping for the wedding was amazing! They did everything themselves. Friends and family came together and look at the beautiful floral set up they put together... all from Aunt Roberta's garden! Can you say WOW, everything just popped and really couldn't be anymore special than that.
This was such a beautiful touching moment. Tammy's dad was watching her special day from heaven, so her mom & one of her besties surprised her with a photo. It was an emotional moment, but one that I was so happy to be a part of. I know he would have just been head over heels proud. Every now and then as a photographer you capture a moment that takes you back, this was one of them. I can see and feel the love as I'm looking at them both.
Tammy beamed with beauty in her wedding gown as did Carter in her beautiful pink lace dress.
Something blue... this bracelet was handed down through generations. A piece that has many stories I bet. I love how she included it with her lace dress, was the perfect accent.
You always have these moments where everything falls into place. The bow is tied and the bride is anxious to get out there and see her groom. Tammy took a moment to reflect what was yet to be and what has been. I truly loved this lady, so kind, and a soul that just spoke to you. I felt as if I had been a part of her family for a long time. This bride was put together and so relaxed, the morning went by with the sounds of friends and family laughing and enjoying the time together.
And this happened. Tom wasn't a big fan of photos, but I tell you what... he is a natural. He just went with it and everything just happened in such a beautiful magical way. This is what love looks like.
And then their are the friends. Friends that have been connected since 5th grade. Friends that have laughed and cried together. I laughed today hearing some stories from them. Things they used to do, things Tammy did, that she still does today. I saw a connection that was so heart warming between them. From coming up to check on the bride, to helping out with flowers, and prep work. I'm so glad to have been a part of that moment... they were a hoot! Can't ask for better friends and family than this.
From the beautiful gardens to the gorgeous center pieces you could not have asked for a more beautiful day. The food was delicious and did I mention that sweet treats? They had a fun ice cream cart, that Tammy's dad used to push around selling ice cream in his younger day. Mini cupcakes with fresh raspberries, I patiently waited to have one of those ;) The wedding cake was made with love and fit the day perfect, simple but oh so elegant.
I loved everything about this day. I met a wonderful family, watched them come together and put on a incredible wedding. I laughed and teared up, I felt such a strong connection. Linda who is Tammy's mom, was so kind and welcomed me in like I was a part of the family and not just the hired photographer. Those are the best times and make me love my job even more. I met some really great people, Grandma who was 93, we were able to capture the 4 generations and hearing her plans for the rest of the week was fulfilling. Noah & Donovan were two of the cutest ring bearers I've seen in a long time, well mannered and did their job perfect. I am blessed to be able to do what I love, meet such wonderful people and then share with you my passion to capture memories. Thank you Tom & Tammy for allowing me to be a part of this day, I will truly keep this one in my favorites! Congratulations and safe travels back home.
